Rally driver
„Mäster Blomqvist“ was in his long career in 1984 at an Audi Quattro rally world champion and 1985 vice-champions again. Overall, he took in 84 world championship rallies, and celebrated with eleven overall victories. Prior to his successful time with the Audi he was mainly due to vehicles from Saab, Lancia and Talbot underway. Before he became the late 1960s and early 1970s as a rally and Rallycross factory driver for Saab has been known worldwide, had Blomqvist – along with friend and teammate Saab Per Eklund – at the Kvinnersta Folkhögskola at Örebro driving to a training course.
